防爆燈，是裝有玻璃燈罩、金屬護攔、密封圈，能防水、防塵，阻止易燃氣體鉆入的一種安全型燈具。由于平時用的燈具有可能發(fā)生爆炸引起火花，而使氣體爆炸等事件發(fā)生，由此防爆燈具在特定場合起著特定作用，不同區(qū)域用不同等級的防爆燈。
